“Hey Ruthie, why aren’t you using video yet?”
I get that question a lot from my marketing friends.
Truthfully, I’ve always been intimidated by video. Public speaking of any sort is really not my strong suit. And while I’ve experimented with doing video a time or two, I’ve never really pursued it much. The other reason I don’t use much video is because I’m really not a video person. I don’t like watching them, so I don’t make them either. But, as those same marketing friends keep reminding me, it’s not about what I want, it’s about what my audience wants. So I’m learning how to get comfortable doing video.
One of my big goals for this year is to do more video content. It doesn’t matter that I don’t really like the way I look on camera, I know I have to get used to it because as the statistics I’m about to share with you show, if you’re not using video you’re missing out on a huge audience.
