Although you’d never know it now, I used to be a very UNconfident person. I still have my moments, but it gets a little easier every day to write content that showcases how confident I am in my ability to create great websites, graphics, and even content for other people.
One of the things I hear so often from others is how they also feel less than confident in sharing their thoughts and feelings online. Whether you’re sharing your opinion about your products and services, or someone else’s products and services, or just about the news of the day, when you are in business it’s always a bit of a risk to let people know how you feel.
The one thing you have to realize is that no one really likes a fence sitter. If you come across as wishy-washy and can’t take a stand for what you believe in, how can your prospects and customers believe that you will stand up for your products and services? It’s so important to be confident in what you share, whether others agree with your assessments or not doesn’t matter. What matters is you are confident enough to take a stand and say what you believe in. Because when it comes right down to it, without actually meeting you in person, your written, and in some cases spoken, word is all anyone has to go on when deciding whether to do business with you or not.
